Philosophy of Counseling
I count it a privilege to be given the opportunity to walk alongside individuals and families as they work to navigate the difficult situations in their lives. My job is to assist the individual inincreasing personal understanding and help develop a directional plan of action. I provide professional counseling services using a variety of evidence based treatment modalities and work to tailor my therapeutic approach to the needs, interests, and personality of the individual. My experience working with children and adolescents has expanded my understanding of and have given me a heart for youth. I have equally enjoyed coming alongside adults and being a witness to their growth and healing reminds me of the joy I have being a counselor. The principles of my faith are a driving force in my therapeutic approach. I have found that many biblical principles align with the psychology behind interpersonal relationships, mental health, and healing. I have a passion for illuminating truth, whether it be faith-based or through self-discovery. I embrace a growth mindset and strive to foster in my clients the same eagerness to learn. |
