Philosophy of Counseling
Foundationally, emotional healing is God’s work. He uses me as a vessel to offer that healing, insight, and utilizing His truth for getting through some of our toughest times. The Holy Spirit is The Counselor sent to guide, therefore as a counselor I rely on the Spirit to guide and move us forward in a direction of healing. There is not a person alive that could not benefit from counseling. My philosophy of counseling is simple – all of us suffer at times from emotional upheavals and we need to turn to someone to listen to us, someone who will enter our journey with us. For most, it is a season in life, not forever. To me, counselors are sojourners. A person who walks along side someone on their journey temporarily. |
