Philosophy of Counseling Counseling is a cooperative journey of restoration and healing. Its purpose is to provide individuals, couples, and families with the support, life skills, and coping strategies they need to overcome the challenges and conflicts in their lives.
My role as a counselor is to help clients realize their own resourcefulness in transcending their problems; to position them to create positive change in their lives.
My goal is to instill within each client the recognition of his or her capacity for wholeness and the possibilities for a better future. Jesus Christ is my template for how to live my life; His model of unconditional love for each of us is the foundation of my counseling philosophy.
As your counselor, I invite you into a restorative and healing relationship that offers hope and acceptance in the midst of life’s challenges.
