Philosophy of Counseling

As an art therapist and counselor, I believe that we all have an incredible capacity for creativity that leads to personal, relational, and spiritual growth. No talent is needed for art therapy to be useful because the focus is on the creative process and the insights gained from it.

I work with clients to use different forms of art as a means of expression, coping, and building resilience. I have experience working with clients who have suffered various types of abuse and trauma in their healing processes. In these cases, art is especially useful for providing a nonverbal means for telling stories and sharing emotions when words may not come easily.

Together, we can discover how art therapy and counseling can best serve you in an environment free of judgment and filled with acceptance.
"He heals the broken-hearted and binds up their wounds." Psalm 147:3
